'Bully For You'
Cherry has had a terrible night in the police cells. Jimmi brings her a cup of tea and passes on good wishes from all the other staff. Rob comes in to take Cherry for more questioning. Rob urges DI Lucas to go easy on Cherry, but she reveals she's under pressure from her bosses to crack the case, and is convinced Cherry holds the key. Cherry protests her innocence, and tells DI Lucas all she knows about Scott's work and family.

DI Lucas show Cherry photographs of Scott dealing and using drugs. She also shows her some surveillance footage of the time Cherry met one of Scott's associates Paul and they were discussing a drug deal. She is shown a picture of the drugs found inside a teddy bear she gave to Scott and a delivery note for a package containing drugs she signed for.

DI Lucas also shows Cherry footage of Scott beating up Barry Chapman after he tried to mug Cherry. Cherry is violently sick and DI Lucas realises she doesn't have enough evidence against Cherry and is forced to bail her.

Rob leads a tearful Cherry out of the station as a frustrated DI Lucas watches them. Michelle tries to get the gossip from Lily on why she came back early from her holiday when Heston arrives festooned with presents for everyone.

Zara arrives at work and Ruth comments that she looks like the cat that got the cream but Zara remains tight lipped. She has another secret liaison with Jack.

Meanwhile, Janice Wilton (40) is trying to get ready for work but her son James Wilton (13) is refusing to go to school. He's a talent violinist and has a rehearsal that day for a concert. She finally gets him off to school but realises he's left his violin behind. She catches up with him at school and much to his embarrassment kisses him in front of some other boys.

One of them, Zak Pritchard (14), snatches the violin from James and taunts him, but leave as James starts to hyperventilate. Janice collects James from school and takes him to see Simon at the Mill. James tells Simon about Zak's threats to beat him up but that he's too scared to tell anyone else. Simon tells James he used to be made fun of at school and advises him to speak to his mum, but James leaves determined to sort it out by himself and wants to go back to school.

On the way to rehearsal Zak and his cronies follow James, and James tries to stand his ground but he looses his bottle and runs. Zak and his cronies chase him, but Zak trips and falls to the ground. James goes to see if he is ok and the cronies run off. Simon finds the two boys and takes them into the Mill. Simon makes Zak realise that James is not as unlike him as he thinks.

Both boys work hard at something they like, Zak realises James loves to play football too, and both of their fathers have left home. James plays his violin which impresses Zak and we see the beginnings of a possible friendship forming.
