Later, Julia confides to Jimmi that she doesn't know what to do. She throws the flowers in the bin, but is furious when she later finds Karen has retrieved the flowers and put them in water. Karen apologises and encourages Julia to go on the date but when she hears about what happened in the past she quickly changes her tune! Julia mysteriously goes out and returns looking like a million dollars!

Karen is poised with some cutting remarks when Jerry returns to pick up Julia, but Julia is even more prepared and promptly says thanks but no thanks – whatever made him think that she would be interested!

Karen is proud of Julia who explains she got all glammed up because you should always show them what they're missing when you dump them!

Meanwhile, Pauline Rudd (65) struggles to convince her wayward grandson Steamer - Stuart Rudd – (16) that he must attend his mother's funeral and suddenly gets terrible chest pains. Heston arrives and Pauline asks him to speak to Steamer on her behalf. He tells Steamer that Pauline needs to go to hospital because she's had a small heart attack, and struggles to get through to the boy, dashing off suddenly when Steamer implies his car could get nicked.

Steamer beats Heston to the car and has his keys and drives off. Heston finds Steamer at his Mum's old house. Steamer admits he resents his mum because he had to look after her because she drank so much and now Pauline isn't well. Heston manages to calm him and offers him a lift to the hospital.

Pauline asks Steamer again to go to the funeral but he still doesn't want to go; his mum never cared about him. Pauline becomes upset and Heston talks to Steamer again and explains to Steamer how his mum died. Steamer tells him he's going home, and Heston gives it one last go to persuade Steamer to go to the funeral.

Steamer says he'll go if Heston goes with him. Heston agrees.
