'The Perfect Face For Radio'

Michelle catches Jimmi practising his acceptance speech, and although he denies it, the awards do mean something to him, and he's nervous! Michelle, Heston and reluctant Lily are accompanying him, when they arrive Michelle is disappointed by the freebies! The gang know they're in for a long night when the cheesy host Billy Galloway (50's) gets proceedings underway.

Glamorous ex-weathergirl Caroline Knox (50) flirts with Jimmi who's getting more and more drunk. Jimmi's big moment arrives and he wins. He drunkenly makes his way to the stage and makes a drunken if impassioned speech, but returns to their table to find Heston and Michelle annoyed… he didn't thank anyone at the surgery! Jimmi later apologises and finds a note from a fan in his pocket.

Julia eagerly prepares for the impending arrival of Liam, Ocean and Marlin but is upset when Liam calls to say Ocean and Marlin are coming alone. Meanwhile Ruth asks Heston to come and see a flat with her – she loves it but can she tell Julia?

Later, Ruth awkwardly tries to say something but Julia is distracted by Ocean's late arrival. Ocean is as rude and obnoxious as ever and Julia can do nothing right! Later Ocean does thank Julia for her help, and Julia apologises to Ruth about Ocean and tells her she should take the flat.

Meanwhile, it's the day of the radio awards, and Julia dispatches Lily to collect the tickets for the event. In the car park Lily finds Dr Denis Leland (50's) collapsing and recognises him straight away however he doesn't recognise her so quickly; they were at medical school together.

Later, Denis arrives at the radio awards, he's up against Jimmi and smugly introduces himself, he wins every year. Lily makes a discreet exit but can't shake off Michelle who thinks Denis is an old flame. Later Denis is gutted when Jimmi wins the award for Best Radio Medic and leaves. Lily makes a discreet exit during Jimmi's drunken speech to follow him and finds him collapsed in the cloakroom.

When Denis sadly shows her the scar under his toupee they realise that it's probably his hair growth product making him ill, but Lily urges him to go and see his GP to be sure.

Denis reveals his growing insecurities, young 'uns like Jimmi taking his place, and Lily reminds him of how he dumped her years ago. However as people stream through from the awards Lily gallantly swaps place with a grateful Denis and gets him to check her pulse so he looks like the knight in shining armour! Lily later tells Heston she's lucky to have him.
