'Crushed'
Julia trails Ocean around for the day, feeling guilty after feeding Marlin meat. She's impressed by Ocean's parenting skills and her dedication to attachment parenting. By the end of the day Julia offers a heartfelt apology and Ocean agrees to give her one more chance.

Some flowers arrive at the Mill and Michelle and Karen debate who they're for. Zara recognises they're her favourite flowers and whisks them away believing they're from Jack. She finally finds the card and breathes a sigh of relief to see they're for Jimmi from a fan.

However, later on she does receive a present from Jack; a cheap fake gold bracelet. Karen sees it and thinks its lovely but Zara throws it in the bin, disgusted. Karen picks it out and at home that night Karen shows it off. Jack's mortified and runs to his room upset.

Rob is forced to go after him by Karen, and Jack reveals the truth about him and Zara. Rob is stuck between pride and horror at his son's behaviour. He tells Jack to end it and never, ever, tell his mother!

Meanwhile, Ruth is shocked when two students ask her out on a date! The boys are friends, Oliver and Jon. Jon has fancied Ruth for ages and has just got the courage up to ask her out. Rich boy Oliver has heard so much about Ruth, he's decided to ask her out as well. The boys squabble over her and Ruth, thinking it's a dare, demands they leave the surgery. Simon endeavours to make Ruth see someone could just fancy her with no motive, but she is still dubious.

The boys continue to ply her with gifts, and Ruth starts to believe Simon's words. At lunch Ruth sees Oliver in the canteen, having his credit card rejected. She then follows him to his car which is full of his belongings. She asks Oliver if he's living out of his car but he denies it and tells her he'll see her for their date later that night.

Later, Jon comes rushing in to the surgery asking for help; Oliver has collapsed. Oliver goes into Simon's office and they discover he hasn't eaten properly in days. Jon is stunned; Oliver's always flashing his daddy's cash. Oliver then reveals his dad has left his mother and him with nothing. He's been kicked out of halls and feels hopeless. Ruth was so helpful when he came in ill the other week that he thought if they were together everything would be better.

Ruth is flattered but advises Oliver to seek counselling and ask the university for financial aid. Jon offers his couch to Oliver for as long as he wants. Before he leaves Jon tells Ruth he just really likes her, no other motive. Ruth goes after him and gets his number, then she and Simon high five!
