The girls have a perfect couple of hours, chatting, lightly flirting and feeling perfect in one another's company. It all feels so romantic and so right. Eventually, Elise kisses Imogen delicately on the lips and Immie feels as though her heart might burst. When she comes home, she melodramatically declares that she's gay to a very shocked Karen.
Charlie continues with inappropriate comments to Ruth. When he turns his attentions to Michelle she explodes at him in front of Julia. Michelle cannot believe the injustice when Julia takes her aside and chastises her. Michelle tells Julia exactly what Charlie has been up to. And although shocked at being the last to know Julia vows to talk to Ruth and sort it out.
She says she'll look into it and goes to share with Lily and Heston. Heston tries to sweep the problem away, he was accused of being rude to nurses when he was a surgeon, it goes with the territory and people should just lighten up.
This is the wrong thing to say to Julia and Lily and he's left rather shamefaced . Julia has a word with Ruth but she doesn't want to be seen as a trouble maker, she doesn't want to ruin anyone's career, she just wants him to stop.
Julia reassures but unless she makes an official complaint, there's not a lot she can do, bar confronting Charlie herself. Ruth doesn't want that either. Julia frustrated, she must do something.
Meanwhile, as Ruth reports back to Michelle, she thinks that the official channels are just too soft. She thinks that they need to find a way for Charlie to get a taste of his own medicine.
Its Daniel's next opportunity to see Izzie but Lisa is really thrown to hear that Zara is away on holiday. She is instantly suspicious, why would Zara go away without her boyfriend?
Put on the spot, Daniel comes up with a halfway convincing story. Lisa's buying it, for now, but she makes it clear that Daniel's new arrangement relies heavily on Zara. A jittery Daniel assures her that all is well between them.
Meanwhile, Wheelchair bound ex-roofer Tony Crossley is driving his wife Jan mad with his singing obsession and its all Heston's fault as he suggested it. Jan is exhausted from working and looking after Tony. Their solicitors advised them to turn down the latest compensation offer from Tony's firm, further adding to her stress as they now want to go to court.
Heston cant believe the change in Tony's outlook. Tony sings to Heston and Heston is left speechless by how awful it is yet Tony seems oblivious. Jan confides in Heston how tough things really are, she is exhausted.
Unbeknown to Jan Tony has booked himself a slot on a local radio show to talk about his accident, singing therapy and showcase his voice. He leaves a message for a horrified Heston who dashes to the radio station. Heston gets roped into the show and when Jan hears Tony on the radio she chokes on her biscuit.
Heston tries to stop it but Tony insists on singing. The whole radio station bursts into laughter and Tony is humiliated. Jan turns up at radio station but they row and Tony storms out.
Heston and Jan fins Tony on the top of a multi storey car park and it looks like he is going to jump. He denies it saying he wanted to look over the city like he used to be able to when he was a roofer. Tony's frustrations all spill out and Jan reassures him she is there for him and they agree to accept the firms previous compensation offer.
Heston is still an advocate as singing thereapy, it doesn't matter if you cant sing its good for the soul. On top of the car park he bursts into song and Jan and Tony join in.
