'Mother's Help'

Lily wakes up at the hospital. With Sapphire sleeping, Lily takes the chance to pop to The Mill to distract herself. She's amused to find the gang practicing their shambolic tap routine in the staff room. The gang is dismayed when their troupe leader Charlie arrives suffering from gout – their audition is that evening!

Later, Lily admits to Daniel that she's not sure she's cut out for parenthood, and he asks if she has thought of taking time off?

Back at the hospital, they finally they diagnose Sapphire with Crohn's disease which can be treated. Lily is crushed though when Sapphire tells her she would rather leave Lily's. Lily implores Sapphire to change her mind but it's made up. Lily calls the social worker. Sapphire will have to stay a little while longer before she can be moved.

Later, they leave the hospital; Lily has somewhere to go first. They arrive at the rehearsal hall where they find the tap dance troupe in disarray. Lily offers to step in and to everyone's surprise she can dance delightfully.

The gang pass their audition and everyone is impressed; Sapphire most of all. Lily announces to everyone that she has decided to take some time out – she has other priorities now. They all say their goodbyes to Lily and Sapphire agrees that she and Lily can see how things go – they leave united.

Meanwhile, Diana Hardcastle (35) wakes with a start from her nightmare in which husband Toby Hardcastle (40) and nanny Megan Davey (24) have made their own family from hers. She goes downstairs to find Toby and Megan playing with the children.

Megan is very helpful but Diana is edgy around her. Megan tells Toby she thinks Diana has changed since the recent birth of their son Tom. Toby asks Megan if she thinks Diana suspects anything.

Later, Diana tells Toby she thinks they should let Megan go- is he having an affair with her? Toby denies it resolutely. Later Toby sees Zara at The Mill. He tells her he's worried his wife is having another episode of severe post-natal depression and she's targeted Megan; Zara agrees to go and see her.

With Toby gone Diana goes to baby Tom when he starts crying and suddenly Megan arrives and tells her to stop; Diana is distraught to see a cushion on the floor beside her.

Diana is distraught when Megan refuses to hand her Tom; Toby and Zara arrive. Diana tells Zara that Megan has been plotting against her, and now she's made it look like she was trying to smother her own baby because she knows she tried to kill her daughter before.

The more Diana insists she isn't mad, the more crazed she looks, and she insists this isn't like it was before. But Zara has no choice - the mental health workers arrive and take Diana away. But as she is driven away we see Megan watching from the window with the two children; eerily she tells them to 'wave goodbye to mummy'; has she planned this all along?

Later, Toby is distraught and begs Megan not to leave – she's not going anywhere.
