Simon takes Will on a date to the planetarium and Will is charmed by Simon's passion for astronomy. Alone, looking at the stars, Simon blurts out he loves Will. Will is silent at first, but then reassures Simon he feels the same, they kiss. After the perfect date Will promises to call Simon after his busy weekend at work.
At home, Simon looks at the stars thinking of Will. Meanwhile Will watches his sleeping child after calling out to his wife; what has he got himself into? Smithy leaves lots of Easter surprises in Ruth's pockets and lunchbox.
At first, she is thrilled, but becomes concerned by his excitable behaviour. When she phones him at home he worries her by revealing he is planning a bigger surprise. Ruth rushes home to find a trail of chocolate eggs leading to a big stuffed bunny.
Ruth is relieved but when Smithy starts talking about them having a baby she freaks again and asks if he is getting his meds.
Smithy is angry at her accusation and shows her where he had his injection. He stomps out into the night, leaving Ruth feeling wretched. Later, we see Smithy stand over a crib in a quiet house and smile at the vulnerable baby.
Meanwhile, Luke (34) prepares for an interview as he gets daughter Aggie (4), ready for her childminder Saskia. Luke is horrified to see Aggie has conjunctivitis and tries to hide this from Saskia to no avail. She refuses to take Aggie, worried for the other children, and is also clearly upset Luke may have to move for this new job.
Luke takes Aggie to see Charlie who suggests Michelle sort some childcare for him whilst Luke has his interview. Michelle however doubts anyone will be available at such short notice.
Luke appreciates this and goes back home. He reluctantly decides to leave Aggie alone, with a potty, plenty of food and the TV on. Michelle meanwhile has found some childcare for him and so calls the house. When Aggie answers Michelle grows worried.
Luke is so full of guilt he misses the interview and rushes home where he finds Michelle on his doorstep. He assures Michelle Aggie is with a childminder and just in time Saskia answers the door and covers for Luke. Michelle insists on seeing Aggie and questions Saskia. She struggles to keep up the pretence and finally Luke confesses to Michelle.
Luke pleads with Michelle to not inform social services. Her hands are tied but she assures him he will not lose Aggie. Luke is desperate, he can't afford to keep Saskia on and he's struggling to get any job at all.
Michelle reassures him that social services can help and surely Saskia would help out more for free; she must really like him to cover for him so. Alone Luke and Saskia reveal their feelings and she kisses him, pleased he'll finally let her help.
