'The Next Level'

Paula and Malcolm arrive to help Jimmi and Cherry settle into their new house. Soon afterwards, Paula and Cherry go shopping for wedding bouquets, leaving the boys to unpack. Malcolm cracks open the beers and - to Jimmi's surprise - makes him promise that Cherry doesn't turn into her mother! As he becomes more tipsy, Malcolm spills out his resentment that Paula made him give up his promising punk career!

To Jimmi's relief, Malcolm's drunken stupor soon turns into a nap. When Malcolm stirs, he confesses that Paula isn't all that bad. Paula and Cherry return home to punk music blaring - will Cherry turn into Paula?

Meanwhile, Karen tells Julia and Elaine about her windfall, and they go for a picnic lunch in the conservatory. None of them can understand Rob's reluctance to move, but as they leave, they don't see Rob watching them in the distance. Later, Rob finds Karen at The Mill and, to her delight, tells her that they can give the new house a go.

Elsewhere, Kevin finds himself playing games - with a girl who died eight months ago.
