'Short Changed'

Julia has Martin round for dinner even though she's still stunned by last night's discovery. When she mentions it, Martin admits that he was accused of arson, but if she had bothered to check further she would have found out that he was acquitted when a disgruntled employee was later convicted.

Martin can't see a future with a woman who doesn't trust him, adding that it's all academic anyway as he is leaving Letherbridge for good in a few weeks…

Meanwhile, Heston decides to replace all the things that were stolen, bringing himself up-to-date with technology in the process. He garners opinions from Elaine and Jimmi, but just ends up blinded by science. Kevin steps in and takes him shopping and Heston finds himself falling in love with some gadgets. He comes back to The Mill and Mrs Tembe is delighted to see him looking happy again.

Elsewhere, Mandy plays peacemaker when her cousin makes a shock announcement at his 16th birthday party.
