'Catflap'

Daniel lies awake as Zara sleeps next to him hogging the duvet, with her arm around Joe's Moses basket. As he tries to prise some duvet back, he wakes both of them up, causing Zara to tell him to sleep in the spare room. At breakfast, Daniel eats glumly while Zara manically prepares for the day ahead. She asks him to change Joe, but when he doesn't do it straight away, Zara angrily does it herself.

At The Mill, Howard calls a partners' meeting and informs them that they need to appoint a new part-time doctor. When Elaine later goes to consult Zara about a patient's medication, she is surprised to find her so frantic and feels very uncomfortable when she is caught in the middle of a row between Zara and Daniel.

Back at home, an exhausted and irate Zara calls Daniel to ask him when he'll be home as they need nappies. However, he sits forlorn in The Icon, deliberately ignoring her call. By the time he gets home, Zara is spoiling for a fight. Daniel argues that there's no point in him as Joe only ever wants his mum - and Zara agrees. She later apologises, but Daniel is simply numb.

Meanwhile, Jack is expecting his exam results today but can't find his phone. Rob suggests he might have subconsciously lost it deliberately, and Jack finally admits that he's nervous about his results. Just as Jack is opening up, Karen and Immie call to tell Jack they've found his phone. When he gets home, Immie tells him that she hacked into his phone and opened his text. She initially tells him he got a third, so when she reveals that he actually got a 2.2, he is really angry with her. Immie apologises and Karen gets out the cake and champagne for a proper Hollins celebration.

Elsewhere, Kevin confronts his feelings of grief and survivor guilt when he receives an unexpected gift on his drive.
