'The Way to a Man's Heart'

With Zara and Joe gone, Daniel is desperate. He calls Zara and leaves several messages, but it's to no avail. When he gets to The Mill, he learns from Howard that she has requested several months' leave and that locum cover will need to be arranged.

Daniel's anguish is clear for all to see. He tells Jimmi that Zara is gone, and Jimmi can't believe it. Jimmi advises Daniel to go home, before relaying everything to Cherry. Cherry is scared that Jimmi might know about her and Daniel's infidelity, but is relieved to learn that he doesn't.

At home, Daniel receives a sharp text message from Zara, telling him that Joe is fine and that he shouldn't contact them again…
