Daniel is overjoyed when Zara sends a video clip of Joe crawling, but his joy is short-lived when he tries to call Zara and her phone is switched off. Needing a friendly ear, he bites the bullet and apologises to Jimmi for his comments about Cherry, but it's Daniel's revelation about sleeping with a prostitute that finally makes Jimmi relent.

Daniel admits that he found looking after Joe difficult and came close to harming him, but clams up when Jimmi tries to probe further. At the end of the day, Daniel admits that he may have had a touch of post-natal depression, but Jimmi is on hand to support him.

Meanwhile, after Elaine's departure, Jas is hopeful that she'll get a full time job at The Mill. After some initial reservations, Howard softens towards Jas, and it seems like it's a done deal. However, the appearance of Jas's former waitressing colleague Grace proves to be her downfall, and she blows her chances. Heston recommends a reliable, elderly locum and Howard puts the wheels in motion to get her on board, leaving Jas despairing at what to do next.
