Meanwhile, there's another arrival in Shieldinch and it's the new GP Michael. Michael is concerned about the new area he is moving to, especially when the first neighbour he meets is a very pushy Molly. After checking out his new home, he realises that someone has been in and left a note. Gabriel has found him, and after a quick look in Montego Street, Michael sees that he has set up another business and is already causing problems with the locals. If it's a quiet life Michael is after, he won't find it in Shieldinch.
Hayley's relationship with Jack is going strong and she is enjoying rubbing Gordon's nose in it - even although Jack wants her to lay off. Gordon says he is moving to Tenerife and wants Hayley to go with him. She is intrigued and doesn't mention the offer to Jack, so Gordon takes great delight in telling him himself. Gordon goads Jack that he has nothing to offer his daughter, so Jack decides he has to buy the salon in Shieldinch for himself. In the meantime, Hayley turns Gordon down. Gordon is shocked that she doesn't want to move but has an even better offer for her. When Jack returns from the bank on cloud nine, ready to provide a stable life for Hayley, he finds her in an equally chuffed mood in the Tall Ship. Jack's plans are about to hit the buffers.
