Meanwhile, Bob is back in Shieldinch but is refusing to see his family. He is only there to get a new lease signed for the garage. However, it's not long before the news of his return is out and Scarlett rushes round to Deek's flat to see him. Bob doesn't answer the door but listens to Scarlett begging him to come for dinner. Bob isn't sure what to do but by not explaining his absence, Scarlett is left to come to her own conclusions.
Big Bob is concerned for Iona when he notices the deli isn't open. He finds her loaded with the cold and feeling sorry for herself. Keen to help her out, Bob offers to look after the shop for the day. Later on, Annie gives Iona a remedy she learnt on her travels and it's not long before Iona perks up. She has a massive stock take to do that evening so prepares to go back to work. However, when Annie offers her a night on the tiles, she is reluctant to miss out. Iona realises she will have to remain poorly for a little while longer so Bob does the hard work for her.
The final Brodie brother has arrived in town. Soldier Leo is home on leave and is clearly not keen on Michael's new wife. He is not going to make life easy for Leyla during his stay. However, he is enjoying spending time with his nephew Conor, who is very much in awe of his uncle. So much so that Conor has some news about his future career options that will shock his father.
Fraser is still trying to get one over on Gabriel but it is proving rather tricky. He decides to pay a child money to go into Gabriel's shop and buy fireworks. With the boy being underage, Fraser is looking forward to shopping Gabriel to the authorities. However, Gabriel's not daft and soon catches on to Fraser's devious ways. With Gabriel outsmarting Fraser once again, there is only one thing left for Fraser to do. He is going to create a fireworks display that Shieldinch won't forget.
