Stella faces a dilemma over her mum

Stella is ignoring calls from her mum. Despite agreeing to meet her, she has changed her mind, much to Bob's confusion. To top it all off, she is not sure moving in with Bob is such a good idea. Bob decides to take matters into his own hands and meets Jackie on his own. Jackie tells Bob that Stella's gran is very ill and that's why she wanted to see her face-to-face.

Stella is furious when she finds out that Bob went behind her back, but Bob shows Stella presents that Jackie has saved for her over the years and she begins to soften. However, as Stella's walls come down, Bob becomes suspicious of Jackie's sudden return.

Meanwhile, Dan has a bad start to the day when a birthday card he sent to his son is returned to him unopened. However, Gabriel soon gives him the pick-me-up he needs - there's a dead cert at the races today and urges Dan not to miss out.

Dan spends the day trying to get online but keeps getting interrupted and when Tattie needs emotional support, he completely misses his chance. When the horse comes in, Gabriel is ecstatic and Dan needs to do something to fulfil his gambling urge.

Elsewhere, Lenny is proud to finally have everyone know that he is Cal's grandfather and wants to spoil him as much as he can. When he sees Scarlett has given Cal an old pink bike of Madonna's, he immediately buys him a fancier blue bike. When Scarlett offers to take everyone on a family holiday, Lenny trumps her by offering to take them to Florida. With the battle of the grandparents on, Kelly-Marie is at the end of her tether.
