Robbie has a great start to his day when he spots two good-looking young men in Shieldinch, but they soon make homophobic comments to him, which leave him shaken.

Feeling in need of some fun, Robbie convinces Hayley to come on a night out with him. When he meets one of the boys later, he apologises to Robbie and insinuates that he is actually gay himself. However, what Robbie believes to be a green light is actually a trap…

Meanwhile, Stella and Bob are trying for a baby, but Stella is already beginning to get impatient. When she hears that alcohol can affect fertility, she is quick to ban Bob from any more pints and decides to take more control of the situation. However, her extreme planning is beginning to take the fun out of trying, and Bob decides he needs to take a stand.

Elsewhere, the Brodie house is a mess and Leyla could do with a glass of wine. To add to her stress, Miriam suggests that she should train to be a phlebotomist to help out more at the surgery. However, the effort of looking into training becomes too much when she also has to contend with a moody Nicole.
