Ex-EastEnder to guest in 'Casualty'

Former EastEnders actor Matt Di Angelo is to make a guest appearance in Casualty's current series finalé.

The 22-year-old, who portrayed Deano Wicks for two years until 2008, plays a college-goer called Tom who proposes to his girlfriend Michelle (Ty Glaser).

However, Tom is unaware that while he's been away at college, his best friend and soon-to-be best man Woodsy (Sid Mitchell) has become involved with his fiancée.

Events soon take a tragic turn, though, when a dramatic road accident rips their lives apart.

The two-part series finalé, entitled 'No Fjords in Finland', is currently being filmed and is scheduled to air on July 25 and August 1.

Di Angelo was the runner-up in the fifth series of BBC reality series Strictly Come Dancing alongside dance partner Flavia Cacace.
