'Archie Shuttleworth' guests in 'Casualty'

The last time we saw Roy Hudd's Coronation Street character, Archie Shuttleworth, was for the funeral of Fred Elliot (John Savident) at the end of last year.

And since his services on the Street haven't been required for a while, the 70-year-old actor decided to "undertake" the role of a patient last month when he filmed a guest-appearance for Casualty.

Hudd attended filming in Bristol from April 2 to 23 for an episode scheduled to transmit on June 23.

I really do hope it's not long before Archie returns to Weatherfield. But it won't be for the funeral of Paul Connor, anyway - that's happening off-screen in Ireland...
