The cast admitted that featuring in the later shows gives them the opportunity to explore different sides of their characters.
Jorgie Porter (Theresa McQueen), told PA: "You might even get to swear sometimes and you're lucky if you do."
Gemma Merna, who plays Carmel, added: "I said bitch the other day and I was like, 'Carmel's never said that word!'"
Rachel Shenton (Mitzeee), who stars in the latest episodes of Hollyoaks Later said: "It felt a lot different [to Hollyoaks] because we were on location so it felt like we were doing a completely different show for a lot of it.
"You could push the boundaries a little bit more and we touched on subjects that Hollyoaks couldn't cover properly. We had a great time, it was really good."
Shenton added that martial arts fighter Michael 'The Count' Bisping, who also stars in Hollyoaks Later as gangster Nathan, was "really great to work with".
A week of Hollyoaks Later episodes starts on October 25.
