'Hollyoaks Later' Amy Walsh: 'Kimberley is really supportive'

Amy Walsh has revealed that her sister - Girls Aloud star Kimberley - has been advising her on her upcoming Hollyoaks Later role.

The actress joined the show in June as Jenifique McQueen and will feature in a storyline involving Mercedes Fisher's hen do in Ibiza.

"Kimberley is great. She's been really supportive," she told the Daily Star Sunday. "We've always been close and whenever I was off school I'd hang out with her and the rest of the girls. I get on well with all of them.

"They've seen me grow up and I've been there through it all with them too. It sounds mad but they're just my sister's friends. Kimberley is very down to earth. I've done a bit of singing before but it's definitely all about acting for me. I'll leave the singing to Kimberley."

She added: "I've already done a bit of theatre and this is my first role on TV, so I've been really lucky to have got such a great character. When I found out I had to perform a pole dance as well as sing up on stage, I did get a little nervous!"

Amy added that the cast had a "great time" filming in Ibiza. "We worked hard and played hard," she said.

Kimberley recently confessed that she is "a bit worried" about her sister starring in "the X-rated version" of Hollyoaks.

Hollyoaks Later airs on E4 at 10pm from Monday September 5.
