Briggs to guest in 'Holby City'
Former Coronation Street actor Johnny Briggs came out of retirement to film a two-part Holby City special, it has been confirmed.

Briggs - who played knicker factor boss Mike Baldwin for 30 years before quitting the cobbles - filmed his scenes for the BBC Tuesday night medical drama at the end of last year.

A show insider told The Sun: “It’s all pretty top secret at the moment because it’s a massive storyline.

“But we’re delighted we’ve managed to get Johnny as he’s not really doing that much acting any more.” Telly fave Johnny spent 30 years on Corrie until his character Mike died after a slow decline with Alzheimer’s."

The 71-year-old actor's episodes are scheduled to air on February 20th and 27th.
