Linden is tormented by his kiss with Faye, but decides to take his mind off it by taking Oliver under his wing, as the medical drama continues. Linden then sees Chrissie comforting Oliver after he loses a patient, provoking an outburst about work relationships being inappropriate.

Penny is frustrated that Oliver always seems to be better than her and shuns Daisha's help. She then realises how much the nurses can help.

Elliot doesn't want to celebrate his birthday, despite Martha's encouragement, but he ends up enjoying his surprise party. Elliot's old friend, Tara Sodi, turns up – although he is not as pleased to see her as he first appears.
