EastEnders' Samantha Janus has revealed that she and her fellow cast members were upset that fans were unhappy with the climax to the Ronnie and Danielle (Lauren Crace) saga.
Speaking to DS on the red carpet at this year's British Soap Awards, she said: "We were upset because obviously we want our audience to be happy, and everything we do, we do with the best intentions...[Viewers] just so wanted Ronnie and Danielle to be happy even just for five minutes and [the audience] felt cheated. We were upset [that] they were upset."
She added: "Lauren Crace was so amazing and I think that was part of it, that everybody was behind her."
