POTD: Ian relaunches the café in 'Enders
Published Thursday, Jul 2 2009, 09:56 BST | By Kris Green
Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) delves deep into his wardrobe and dons his finest Willy Wonka costume for the grand reopening of Kathy's Café on Bridge Street during tonight's episode of EastEnders.
The day gets off to a bad start, though, when Christian (John Partridge) points out a spelling error on the leaflets Ian's had made by Tamwar (Himesh Patel). Furthermore, Bobby's running amok throughout the market and Ian's forced to pay Heather £20 to keep an eye on him for the rest of the day.
Jane (Laurie Brett), meanwhile, is forced to get to grips with the café's new coffee machine, while Christian tries his luck with the coffee man Gianfranco, much to Syed's (Marc Elliott) frustration.
Despite having to reward someone he'd rather not for winning his golden ticket competition, Ian's somewhat pleased with the day's success.

EastEnders airs tonight at 7.30pm on BBC One.
