POTD: Stacey faces reality in 'EastEnders'
Published Tuesday, Jul 21 2009, 09:53 BST | By Kris Green
Following her accident during yesterday's episode, EastEnders' Stacey Branning (Lacey Turner) is taken to hospital by Max (Jake Wood) to have the cut on her head treated.
Stacey's mum Jean (Gillian Wright) goes with them, and as she witnesses Stacey become increasingly agitated, she confides in a nurse that her daughter could be suffering from bipolar disorder.
Reluctantly, Stacey agrees to discuss her situation with hospital psychiatrist Dr Simmonds and in an emotional scene, she's confronted with the harsh reality of her mental state.

EastEnders airs tonight at 7.30pm on BBC One.
