Ronnie (Samantha Womack) gets a shock during tonight's episode of EastEnders when Joel's (Cavan Clerkin) wife Steph (Claire Lubert) turns up at The Vic and issues a warning.
After visiting Joel at his offices again, Ronnie's stunned to learn that her father Archie (Larry Lamb) paid him to stay away from the Square.
Joel goes on to admit to Ronnie that he wants to be with her, but feels guilty as he has a wife and children. He's silently taken aback when his first love admits that she knows about his family because she paid him a visit at the end of last year.
With that, Ronnie says that she'll wait for him at The Vic and if he doesn't turn up, she'll move on with her life. As they talk, though, they're interrupted by his wife Steph.
Later, Ronnie's preparing for Joel's arrival at The Vic when Roxy (Rita Simons) shouts that she has a visitor. The eldest Mitchell sister excitedly runs down the stairs to greet who she believes to be Joel but she's taken aback when she finds Steph with her brood of three children...
EastEnders airs tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
