Tointon: 'Affair plot came from nowhere'
EastEnders star Kara Tointon has revealed that she found her final storyline difficult to film.

The 26-year-old actress, who recently shot her last scenes as Dawn Swann on the BBC One soap, admitted that she struggled to relate to her character's motivations as she cheated on fiancé Garry Hobbs (Ricky Groves) with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden).

Speaking to We Love Telly, she explained: "I found Dawn falling for Phil hard as it came from nowhere. I don't like my character anymore, she's become a horrible girl."

On her exit scenes, which revolve around Dawn and Garry's wedding day, she continued: "I'd said I didn't want to die or leave in the back of a black cab, so it was nice to be on location."

Tointon was axed from EastEnders in March and is now said to be hunting for new parts.

She commented: "I'd like to do something different next time. My dream role would be Lizzie Bennet in Pride and Prejudice.
