EastEnders' Jake Wood has hinted at how his screen wife Tanya Branning is written out of the show as co-star Jo Joyner departs on maternity leave.
Speaking to DS on the red carpet of this year's Inside Soap Awards, he said: "It's something different for the Brannings. It's great and it's a very interesting build-up. It's something we've not seen before."
He added: "I think it'll be an interesting time to see [Tanya] away from the family to see how he copes. There are plans there with the girls, whether they'll be there or not we'll have to wait and see. I think it's an interesting time for Max. It'll be great to see... what he gets up to."
