Tointon: 'My 'Enders exit wasn't very good'

Former EastEnders star Kara Tointon has admitted that she doesn't think her exit from the BBC soap was very good.

The 26-year-old, who played Dawn Swann for four years, made her departure from the show in August when she and her screen fiancé Garry Hobbs (Ricky Groves) sailed off into the sunset together.

Speaking to DS about her exit on the red carpet at this year's Inside Soap Awards, she said: "Well it was interesting on the boat. Well… it was better than leaving in a black cab. When I watched it, I didn't think it was very good. But I did my best."

Her real-life boyfriend and former screen brother Joe Swash joked: "Where were they going to go on that boat?! Popeye had a bigger boat than that!"
