Ainsworth grateful for Little Mo support

Kacey Ainsworth has insisted that she feels proud when people mention her time in EastEnders.

The 39-year-old actress played troubled Little Mo Mitchell on the Walford drama for almost six years before bowing out from the part in 2006.

Asked if soap fans continue to associate her with the show, Ainsworth replied: "Yes, but I don't mind being associated with it - it's not something I'm embarrassed of."

Speaking to PA, she continued: "I always had nice feedback from it, so as an actor you have to say if you have one character in your whole career that sticks in people's minds, you've done an amazing job."

Ainsworth went on to describe Little Mo as "a lovely character" who was "a labour of love created over a long period of time".

The star has appeared in Hotel Babylon and HolbyBlue since leaving the BBC programme.
