'EastEnders' stars flashed by streaker

A builder disrupted filming for EastEnders yesterday by streaking in front of the soap's veteran actress Barbara Windsor.

The labourer, believed to be named Joe Wainwright, stripped down to his underwear when he spotted Windsor (Peggy Mitchell) and Cheryl Fergison (Heather Trott) filming on location in St Albans, Herts for Ricky and Bianca's forthcoming wedding.

It is thought that the prankster had been working on a nearby building site when he saw the pair and decided to pull the stunt.

According to The Sun, as Wainwright was being led away by security, Windsor joked: "He didn't even do it properly - he kept his pants on."

Meanwhile, a Walford source said: "It was quite a laugh and didn't cause much of a stir. But it was a very cold day, so he was certainly a brave soul."

Police reportedly arrived on the scene after being alerted to the incident but took no action against the builder.
