The actor, who plays Walford favourite Bradley Branning, told PA that he will work hard to be well-prepared for the special broadcast on February 19.
Asked if he was apprehensive over the live instalment, Clements replied: "Not at the moment - I've done some theatre before and it'll be like doing that really.
"You just have to be prepared and be on top of your lines and stuff."
Last month, EastEnders bosses refuted tabloid rumours which suggested that Bradley would commit suicide in the live episode.
Clements announced last November that he is to bow out from his role as Bradley. His real exit storyline is currently being kept under wraps.
