'EastEnders' Moments: Little Mo, Trevor and The Iron

Little Mo Mitchell finally took a stand against her husband Trevor in 2001 when she left him and ultimately battered him with Pauline Fowler's iron.
After months of torment, violence and sexual abuse, Little Mo called time on her marriage with Trevor when she discovered that he erased a voicemail from Zoe.
On New Year's Eve 2001, Trevor turned up on the doorstep of Pauline's house - where Little Mo was babysitting Louise Fowler - and begged her to take him back.
Little Mo resisted Trevor's advances but when he became forceful and tried to rape her, she grabbed for Pauline's iron and cracked him over the head with it.
Believing that she'd killed him, Little Mo ran home for help. When she and her sisters returned to the house, Trevor's body had disappeared as he'd managed to stagger into a nearby alley.
Trevor subsequently reported his wife to the police for attempted murder and, on trial, was found guilty. Her conviction was ultimately overturned.
