Lovebirds Sonia Jackson and Jamie Mitchell were tragically parted on Christmas Day 2002 when Jamie died, having been mown down by Martin Fowler.
While Jamie declared his true feelings for Sonia, LIttle Mo and Billy exchanged their vows across town. Uttering the words "we were meant to be, Sonia", Jamie placed a ring on her finger. Kissing him on the forehead, Sonia and Jamie said that they love each other, before the hospital machines began bleeping and a swam of doctors rushed into the room in an attempt to save his life.
As a gospel choir sang a rendition of 'Stand By Me', Jamie's family waited in the hospital corridor for news of his condition, while Billy and Little Mo celebrated their union at the church.
Sonia, however, was left heartbroken as doctors were unable to revive Jamie after he suffered a ruptured spleen.
