EastEnders star Charlie Brooks has admitted that she is feeling "slightly terrified" ahead of her involvement in tonight's live episode of the soap.

The actress's character Janine Butcher is one of several suspects who could be revealed as Archie Mitchell's murderer in the special instalment of the BBC drama.

Speaking in an interview with The Tubridy Show on Irish radio, Brooks predicted that the show's cast will pull together if there are any problems tonight.

She commented: "I'm slightly terrified at the live factor, but we're all going to be there to bail each other out if it all goes horrendously wrong."

Of the whodunit storyline, Brooks added: "We all still don't know who killed Archie. We've all been sitting around asking 'Did you do it?'. We've been rehearsing ten different endings every day."

The soap star recently said that the secrecy surrounding the murder mystery had made filming "very hard".

EastEnders Live airs tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
