The actress, who played Walford's Tiffany Mitchell between 1995 and 1998, topped a chart of album and DVD sales released to mark the soap's 25th anniversary.
McCutcheon has recorded three albums since leaving her Albert Square role and also appeared in the hit film Love Actually.
My Family's Daniela Denby-Ashe, who once had the role of Sarah Hills in EastEnders, secures second place in the chart, while Shaun Williamson (Barry Evans) is in third thanks to his part in Extras.
Martin Kemp (Steve Owen) takes the next position, while Wendy Richard (Pauline Fowler), Natalie Cassidy (Sonia Jackson) and Ross Kemp (Grant Mitchell) also feature in the top ten.
McCutcheon recently said that she had decided to take a break from acting because there are so few drama projects being commissioned.
