'Enders Ryan: 'I thought I was the killer'

The BBC soap's relative newcomer had emerged as one of the favourites to be unmasked as the murderer in recent days, with bookmaker William Hill yesterday offering odds of 11/2 for Ryan.
Speaking on EastEnders Live: The Aftermath tonight, McDermott confirmed that he was pleased to discover that Stacey Branning (Lacey Turner) was the true culprit.
The actor explained: "[The episode] was pretty amazing. There's tears everywhere but I'm just feeling really relieved.
"I was a suspect. At one point today, all the fingers started pointing at me. I thought, 'You know what - I think I did it'. I was walking around the dress rehearsal thinking, 'I think I'm the murderer'."
Tonight's instalment was the highlight of the Walford programme's 25th anniversary celebrations.
