Palmer: 'Enders should go live again'

EastEnders star Patsy Palmer has revealed that she would like the soap's producers to organise another live episode in the near future.

The BBC drama last month pulled in 16.6m viewers after going live for its 25th anniversary celebrations, which saw the climax to the Archie Mitchell murder mystery plot.

Palmer, who plays Walford favourite Bianca Butcher, has now confirmed that she would love to make a bigger contribution if the programme ever transmits live again. Bianca stayed in The Queen Vic throughout February 19's special instalment as she was celebrating her wedding.

The actress told What's On TV: "[The live episode] was really good. We were the lucky ones in The Vic - we were just enjoying ourselves like it was a party, so I don't think much could have gone wrong [for us]!

"It was good, it was fun. I'd like to do another one, I think. I'm going to get into trouble if I keep saying that - everyone just keeps saying, 'No!' But I'd like to be more involved, I think - it looked a good buzz."

Palmer also admitted that she cashed in at the bookies following the twist that Stacey Branning (Lacey Turner) was Archie's killer.

She said: "I was happy, because I won money! I didn't expect to because the odds were quite big. It was just a bit of a joke - my friend went and did it. I was really happy about that."
