EastEnders actor Devon Anderson has revealed that he is inspired by the talent of his screen mother Lindsey Coulson.

The actor was reunited with Coulson earlier this year after agreeing to reprise his childhood role as Billie Jackson, who he originally played between 1993 and 1997.

Speaking to DS, Anderson commented: "Lindsey Coulson is what every young actor should aspire to be. She's fun to work with and makes me laugh every day - she's just brilliant.

"As a child, you don't notice everyone around you, so it was almost like meeting her for the first time again. I couldn't really remember much from all those years ago, so it's been great sharing stories from back in the day!"

Billie, mum Carol and fellow Jackson clan members Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) and Robbie (Dean Gaffney) all returned to Walford earlier this year for EastEnders' 25th anniversary episodes, which saw the wedding of Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) and Ricky Butcher (Sid Owen). Sonia and Robbie went on to leave Albert Square once again after the celebrations were over.

Reflecting on the family's comeback, Anderson said: "I was well pleased. They came back before me, so technically I was joining them again but it was excellent."
