Adam forces Lucy to kiss him during this evening's hour-long screening of EastEnders as he asks for payment in kind in return for stolen exam papers.
Realising that cash has been stolen from the café, Ian becomes suspicious of Lucy but she deflects any concern to Jane. While Ian begins to doubt his wife's trustworthiness, Lucy continues her deception.
Later, however, Ian surveys the footage he captured in the café using Peter's webcam and he's stunned to see Lucy helping herself to a pile of notes from the till.
Panicking that Lucy's caught up in drugs, Ian confronts her and Lucy's forced to admit that she's been stealing cash in order to pay for exam papers in advance of the sitting.
Seeing Lucy's turmoil, Ian reluctantly relents and hands back the roll of notes so she can continue with her dishonesty.
Heading out to meet Adam, Lucy thrusts the cash at him and as she takes the envelope, he refuses the money, twists her wrist and insists that she can pay him in kind.
