'Enders Kazinsky 'names puppy Roxy'

Former EastEnders actor Rob Kazinsky has apparently named his dog after his on-screen wife.

The Sean Slater actor, who exited the show in January 2009, asked for name suggestions for the "2-month-old German shepherd female puppy" on Twitter.

The 26-year-old later confirmed that he decided to name her after his screen partner, played by Rita Simons in the BBC soap.

"Well to the delight of many I'm sure, our new puppy is called Roxy!" he told fans.

Several replies to Kazinsky joked about Simons's reaction to the choice of name.

The actor was recently reported to be among contestants wanted by Strictly Come Dancing bosses for the new series.
