POTD: Carol is left devastated in 'Enders

Carol faces the worst day of her life in tonight's episode of EastEnders when she hears that her beloved son Billie is dead.
On the morning after his boozy birthday party, Billie lies lifeless on the sofa in the lounge. However, his family initially believe that he's simply sleeping, and a clueless Carol heads out to the bookies as usual.
Later, however, Bianca tries to wake her half-brother and is shocked to discover that he has passed away. A heartbroken Bianca then has to break the news to Carol over the phone, prompting her to rush back.
Back at the house, Carol goes into deep shock as she struggles to take in what has happened. She is immediately offered comfort and support from Max and the rest of her family - but will she ever be able to recover from the tragedy?
EastEnders airs tonight at 8pm on BBC One.
