Charlie's Albert Square exit pulls in 10m

EastEnders again attracted an audience above the 10 million mark on Thursday night, the latest audience data has revealed.

From 7.30pm on BBC One, 10.21m (43.5%) watched as long-running character Charlie Slater left Albert Square in the aftermath of the funeral. A further 943k (4.5%) tuned in to watch BBC Three's repeat screening from 10pm.

Coronation Street was the second most-watched soap of the evening, pulling in 9.61m (37%) from 8.30pm for Peter's big fall out with Leanne.

A double bill of Emmerdale - focused on the aftermath of the arson attack - averaged 8.6m (38.8%) from 7pm and 9.02m (36.5%) from 8pm.

Meanwhile, the big day of Lee and Leanne's wedding on Hollyoaks was seen by 1.23m (5.7%) from 6.30pm, before 373k (1.7%) tuned in for E4's first look from 7pm.

Earlier in the day, Doctors pulled in 1.83m (23.2%) on BBC One from 1.45pm, while Neighbours took 846k (10.6%) on Channel 5. The Neighbours repeat took 1.18m (7.1%) from 5.30pm.
