Babbington predicts rocky 'Enders romance

EastEnders Kylie Babbington has admitted that she does not expect Darren and Jodie's romance to run smoothly.

The young couple are to experience another rocky patch in the coming weeks, when Darren (Charlie G. Hawkins) loses his job at the car lot. However, when he realises how much he loves her, Darren makes Jodie a life-changing proposal.

"It's EastEnders! It's never going to be smooth sailing, but you'll have to stay tuned and see what happens," the actress told What's On TV. "I love working with Charlie. We always have a laugh. It's been great to see our relationship develop on screen."

She added: "It's been a bit of a dream come true walking into EastEnders. I've really enjoyed developing Jodie as a character - it's been an amazing year."
