EastEnders actress Cheryl Fergison has revealed that she would like former co-star Barbara Windsor to be a bridesmaid at her forthcoming wedding.

The 46-year-old, who plays struggling mum Heather Trott on the Walford soap, is due to tie the knot with her Moroccan fiancé Yassine Al-Jermoni later this year.

Speaking of her plans for the ceremony, Fergison explained that she would be thrilled if Windsor agreed to play a big role on the day.

She is quoted by The Sun as saying: "I'd love Barbara Windsor to be one of my bridesmaids.

"I'd love all of the cast and crew of EastEnders to be involved in some way because they are such a fabulous team of people."

Fergison first met 25-year-old Al-Jermoni on a social networking website. She was previously married to Jamshed Saddiqi, with whom she has a 12-year-old son.

Meanwhile, Windsor bowed out from her role as Albert Square's Peggy Mitchell last year.
