Cheryl Fergison: 'I'm crazy in love'

Cheryl Fergison has said that she believes her upcoming marriage will stand the test of time.

The actress, who plays EastEnders' Heather Trott, met Yassim al Jemoni over the internet, while he was a shop assistant in his native Morocco.

Despite the 19-year age gap, Fergison is adamant that the strength of their relationship will prove detractors wrong.

She told Now: "I've fallen in love for the first time in my life. I've been married and had relationships before but this is really the first time that I know what love is.

"Crazy is a strong word - I'm not crazy, I'm just crazy in love! There have been quite a few negative comments, but I think time will tell that he's a genuinely lovely, intelligent human being."
