Cassidy: 'Sid Owen should have kids'

Natalie Cassidy has revealed that she thinks Sid Owen would make a brilliant father.

The former Eastenders actress, who played Sonia Fowler opposite Owen's Ricky Butcher in the soap for years, said that she admires him for taking time off filming to do some charity work but would rather he settled down and had kids.

Cassidy wrote in her New magazine column: "It's all very admirable but, Sid, when are we going to her the pitter-patter of tiny feet? He's been with his partner Polly Parsons for years and I'd love to see him become a dad."

Last month, Owen revealed that he wants to take a break from the soap to "dedicate more time to Drop 4 Drop, a charity to help alleviate the global water crisis in the developing world".
