The Walford caterer is currently a free agent as she dumped Ian (Adam Woodyatt) last month shortly after he had confessed to his secret affair with Glenda Mitchell.
According to the Daily Star, Jane's love life will take a new twist in the coming weeks when she visits the Queen Vic for a night out with her friends and finds herself being charmed by a handsome stranger named Martin (Alasdair Harvey).
Some reports today have suggested that Jane will flirt with Martin for the rest of the evening before going home with him for a one-night stand.
However, a Walford source told DS today: "It doesn't go as far as a one-night stand, but Jane is flattered by the attention, they exchange phone numbers, there's some flirting and a couple of kisses."
Recent episodes of EastEnders have shown that Ian is still holding out hope for a reunion with Jane. However, Jane will soon take a break from Walford as Laurie Brett, who plays the character, is expecting her first child.
