Olly Murs has reiterated his desire to appear in EastEnders.

The 'Heart On My Sleeve' singer previously revealed his acting ambitions in 2009, and later claimed that he wanted to play a character who has an affair with Pat Butcher (Pam St Clement).

The Sun now reports that Murs has admitted that he wants to mimic Robbie Williams's brief 1995 cameo appearance.

"They are fed up with me. Every time I meet any of the cast, I am on their case," the 26-year-old told the paper. "When I send over songs to be played, I'm also banging on about getting a role like Robbie Williams did.

"Patsy Palmer told me Robbie got his cameo from just turning up at the set one day wanting a tour. So I'm debating using that tactic too."

He added: "It would be amazing fun. I'm a huge fan. I'd love to have an affair with Dot Cotton or something."
