The beautician, played by Jo Joyner, kissed Max (Jake Wood) on her wedding day last month and will soon reignite her relationship with him, The Sun reports.
Tanya will apparently become torn between the two men when Greg puts pressure on her to start a family.
A source said: "Sparks will fly between Max and Tanya this summer. The shoe's on the other foot for Tanya because in the past she's been a victim of Max's cheating."
Joyner recently said: "If Tanya reunited with Max I would despair. But she is a one-man woman."
Wood has admitted that he is glad the soap's writers are revisiting the unresolved feelings between Max and Tanya.
